By editing the registry, you can remove Network Neighborhood icon from your desktop. Just follow the below steps:
- Go to Start Button and open Run then type: regedit
- Go to HKey_Current_User \ Software\ Microsoft \Windows \ Current Version \ Policies \ Explorer
- Right click on the right panel and add a New / DWORD
- Name it NoNetHood
- Give it a value of 1
Now, when you Logoff or Reboot the computer, "Network Neighborhood" icon will not be there.
