Not Displaying the Network Neighborhood

By editing the registry, you can remove Network Neighborhood icon from your desktop. Just follow the below steps:

  • Go to Start Button and open Run then type: regedit
  • Go to HKey_Current_User \ Software\ Microsoft \Windows \ Current Version \ Policies \ Explorer
  • Right click on the right panel and add a New / DWORD
  • Name it NoNetHood
  • Give it a value of 1

Now, when you Logoff or Reboot the computer, "Network Neighborhood" icon will not be there.
